4.1 Offspring Senses Are Tingling

Welcome back everybody to another episode of Pollination : Mission Statement!

Last chapter the twin boys reached Young Adult status. Now that they're full grown, those alien imprint instincts are kicking into high-gear.

Um . . . VERY . . . high-gear . . . .

CASTOR - Hold on Beanie, there's something I gotta ask you.

JB - What's that, Cas?

CASTOR - Will you make me the happiest alien-hybrid this side of the galaxy and marry me?

JB - OMP, really?!?!?

BELLATRIX - Saw that one a mile away. Still, grandbabies soon, so yay.

Jelly Bean was very happy to accept Castor's proposal, of course.

And on the other side of the living room, Pollux was not about to be outdone.

POLLUX - I've got something for you, Patches. (Oh crap don't drop the box, don't drop the box, don't drop the box).

PATCHES -Oh really?

POLLUX - It's my future . . . and a ring. I hope you'll take both, and marry me.

PATCHES - Oh . . . mygosh.

Not sure how she can be surprised, since his twin just got done doing the same exact thing behind them but still, cute. :P

Patches was also very happy to accept Pollux's proposal.

They were just meant to be. There was no one else Pollux could see himself being happy with.

Meanwhile, Castor had escorted Jelly Bean out to the front yard and in true legacy fashion, decided to get the non-heir nuptials out of the way post-haste.

Jelly Bean was all for that plan, and happy ring exchanges were had.

The kiss makes it official. Mr. and Mrs. Castor Pollination hung around long enough for this simmer to make sure the first grandbabies were incubating before getting released out into that stream of Story Progression.

Meanwhile Centarus is doing me proud and getting Castor's portrait right the first time. He's tried three times with Pollux, no luck so far. -_- Still, point!

Castor's portrait takes its' place on the Spares Wall in the basement downstairs.

Our heir and his fiance sit down at the bar for some chili lunch, in a scene that is quite familiar to one had by last generation's heiress and her beau.

The chili didn't quite sit well with poor Patches.

Wow, she burped so hard she glitched the stool. Impressive.

Meanwhile the second-largest bedroom gets a make-over for our new couple. Normally I'd move the current heir into the 'bedroom suite,' but Bellatrix is FAR too much of a Diva to downsize, not even for her own son.

Besides, Pollux and Patches don't need a lot to make them happy. Just each other. ^_^

And, you know, not being woken-up multiple times by a meddling great-grandpa ghost.

BART - Hai. S'up. Yo.

Great-grandpa Seven was kind enough to go outside and play with the spa rubber ducky rather than harass his descendant.

Outside I have two problems taking care of each other. A zombie preparing to eat a paparazzi. A win/win situation in my humble opinion.

The next morning Pollux wakes up early for his first day of work . . . and realizes he has a very pretty, very scantily clad fiance in the bed next to him. You two need to behave though, because you're not married yet, the wedding isn't until the weekend when Pollux has his next day off.

Oh, cuddling. Well, cuddling is okay. And cute. Please continue.

Uh . . . that doesn't look like you're cuddling.

That's DEFinitely not cuddling! Slow down! Slow dow--.

Well, so much for that. XD

I guess you just can't keep an imprinted alien down, so to speak.

After woo-hoo timez, Pollux had to run to catch the carpool to his first day as an Organ Donor. The water splashes reveal that it's been raining almost nonstop in this file, lately.

While our heir is away at work, his intended spouse continues to be ridiculously photogenic while she eats a plate of mushroom omelette.

Bellatrix soon joined her.

BELLATRIX - Oh, I see you and Pollux have already gotten to work on my grandbabies. This pleases me.

PATCHES - Erm . . . what do you mean by that?

BELLATRIX - That means you're pregnant, silly girl.

PATCHES - What, pregnant?! No way! How would you even know?

BELLATRIX - 3/4 of the blood in my veins is alien. We can sense this sort of thing.

PATCHES - That's just nonsense, garbage! There's no way you can tell that I'm pregnant, Mama Bell.

BELLATRIX - You know, for somebody who was just a figment of my son's imagination, you seem awfully resistant to things that are out of the ordinary.

Confident that her soon-to-be-mother-in-law was just being silly, Patches changed into her swimsuit and decided to read a couple recipe books on the spa bench.

After work Bellatrix got falsely accused of getting arrested. She went to City Hall to sue for slander, but lost the case. She went to pay of the paparazzi instead, which altogether set the family back 7k simoleons. -_-

Later that afternoon, Patches was struck with sudden and 'unexplained' nausea . . . .

Exhausted, she laid down for a nap. Pollux joined her after work, and got his first taste of his alien DNA early-warning system.

POLLUX - I sense something . . . something that's inside of . . . oh crap.

Potent little bugger, aren't yah? XD

That night, little Comet decided to celebrate her elder birthday just after a nice refreshing session in her Hygienator.

She poofed into elder-hood in a flurry of sparkles, but otherwise doesn't look different at all.

Patches popped some time the next day.

PATCHES - . . . well I'll be damned. They really can sense their offspring.

What's this? Centarus in his undies? Well, yes. But this is also to show that he's finally maxed his writing skill! That means he's completed his Lifetime Wish of Illustrious Author! Woooo, POINT!

I decided to give in and give the Pollinations a washer and dryer, feeling that with Patches being a stay-at-home career mom, she'd be able to keep up with it. And then our current maid surprised the crap out of me by going to get the wet clothes out while she was in the bathroom.

.... and then promptly dropping them on the floor.

I knew you couldn't be trusted, Betrayer-Maid.

So not only did Patches have to switch the laundry, but she had to mop up the puddle it left too.

When Pollux got home from work that day, Patches approached him about their impending parental status.

PATCHES - So, Pol . . . um, it turns out that I'm pregnant.

POLLUX - Yep, I figured it out last night while you were napping. Good job on being so fertile!

PATCHES - I just told you we're going to have a baby . . . and you are seriously giving me the 'thumbs up' sign?

Pollux was no fool. He was, in fact, a genius. So there was no way in hades he was going to leave things at that.

POLLUX - There's nothing I want more than for you to be the mother of my children, Patches. You are, quite literally, the girl of my dreams made manifest. I'll love you, and our baby, forever.

PATCHES - Much better.

The next day, GRADUATION! I decided to let them actually go to City Hall to graduate for a change. Taking the Motive Mobile of course, maxed motives FTW.

Unfortunately it's been so long for this family that they've forgotten how to go about graduating in a correct and timely fashion. Pollux misplaced his robes on the way, poor pregnant Patches is in a glitched up outfit with her pregnant belly sticking out, Bellatrix is annoyed, Centarus is confused and Castor is happy about something but even HE doesn't know for sure.

I wondered where Jelly Bean was, and then got the notification that she'd given birth a few hours later. So that's where she is in this shot. Having a baby at the hospital.

In the end neither Pollux OR Patches actually went inside. Bellatrix and Centarus went in and watched the other graduates at least. Pollux was named Most Likely to Save the World, and Patches was Most Likely to Have a Big Family. 2 for 2.

With motives maxed and nothing else better to do, they all got sent to the Fall Festival that had just started in town.

Patches harvests some pumpkins for carving later while Bellatrix challenges Centarus to an Apple Bobbing contest.

Apparently Cen was no match for Bells' bobbing skillz. She crushed him, much to the paparazzi's note-taking delight.

Next for the elderly couple was a trip into the Haunted House. They both got positive moodlets from it, but no new gnomes or temp ghosts.

I sent Pollux and Patches into the greeting card photo booth. They took several hours and in the end the picture only showed Pollux. D:

BOOTES - Oh sweet! Can I get a picture, Aunt Bellatrix?

BELLATRIX - Um, sure Bootes. But you DO realize that you're family, right? You can come over and see us any time . . . .

If anyone forgot, Bootes is Bellatrix's younger brother Scorpius' youngest son. He's made enemies of pretty much the whole town, I don't see the family line continuing from his end.

Back home Bellatrix and Centarus decide to carve some jack-o-lanterns.

The one on the right was done by Bellatrix. The . . . one on the left was done by the ARTISTIC Centarus. Maxed painting skill my ass.

Why's Bellatrix getting sick?! Surprise late-in-life baby?! . . . no, just a bad plate of hot dogs that she insisted on eating. -_-

PATCHES - OHMYGOSH IAMGOINGTODIEEEEEE!!

After filling Comet's food bowl, it seems Patches is struck with the realization that Generation 5 would like to make its way into the world nao.

Funny, I selected for you to take Patches to the hospital, Pollux. Not the other way around. -_-

POLLUX - Man, I hope those baby books I read prepared me for this . . . .

Probably not.

Patches somehow managed to beat him to the front entrance. As you can see from the umbrella it's raining in Lucky Palms. Again.

And finally, after some hours of labor, we're greeted with the arrival of TWIN GIRLS!

First up, being held by Patches, is first-born Vega Pollination! She had Friendly locked in, and rolled Likes the Cold. Her favorites are Classical music, Stu Surprise and the color Purple.

Her twin sister, being held by Pollux, is Lyra Pollination! She had Genius locked in and rolled Light-Sleeper. Her favorites are Songwriter music, Pancakes and the color Green

I was a little sad because when they were first born Lyra's portrait showed she had Pollux's green skin, but after coming out of the hospital it switched to brown. Oh well, still undoubtedly destined to be cute.

That's it for this installment! Tune in next time to see if Pollux and Patches can manage to get married before they produce any more babies--and get saddled with the stupid 'Had Baby Out of Wedlock' defamation penalty. -_-*

Until next time, Happy Simming!
