We're back for another edition of Pollination: Mission Statement, where Cassiopeia's pregnancy is progressing right along.
She continued with her chess matches throughout. Her opponents took notice of her sudden condition, however. Namely the lack of a wedding ring on her hand to go along with it. Cassi did her best to ignore it.
All too soon it was time to welcome Generation 3.
CASSI - THIS PAIN IS COMPLETELY DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE SITUATION!!!
BART - Oh cheezus, she's about to give birth in the living room! I went through this three times myself and yet I have no idea what to do!
-_- Oh I dunno, how about you take her to the hospital, Bart? Just a thought.
Since Six was still at work, it fell to Bart to escort his daughter to the hospital to have her baby. Seven came out of the back room just in time to watch the door slam behind them.
SEVEN - What's all the ruckus about? It's not like having offspring is anything new in this dwelling?
I'm right there with ya, buddy.
BART - She just graduated high-school two days ago and she's already having babies . . . She's still MY baby! She's too young to have babies of her own!
I think Bart's in denial. It's a little late for that, hon.
Meanwhile Six arrives to a nearly empty home.
SIX - Hey, Pollinator. Where's my mate?
SEVEN - Cassi? Oh, it's time for her to have her first offspring so Bart took her to the hospital. *noms cookie*
SIX - What?!
Cassi and Bart head into the hospital together.
And after breaking several traffic laws, Six arrives on the scene to witness the birth of his first offspring as well.
Introducing Andromeda Pollination! Born with the traits Disciplined and Hates the Outdoors. She's a Pisces who enjoys Key Lime Pie, Kids music and the color Spice Brown.
And her twin sister! Introducing Aquila Pollination! Born with the traits Couch Potato and Grumpy. She was also a Pisces (convenient since they were born on the same day, I hate how twins don't always have the same zodiac signs), who enjoys Crepes, Roots music and the color Purple. And in case it hasn't become apparent yet, the naming theme of this Legacy is stars and constellations. :D
BART - So . . . cute . . .
Six followed Bart and Cassi and the babies home. Long after everyone else went to bed he stayed up, watching his offspring sleep peacefully in their cribs. Two babies at once. Two FEMALES. Two perfect little pink-skinned miracles.
SIX - One thing, though . . . what do they plan on using that little bucket device for?
Oh, you'll become well acquainted with that soon enough, Six old boy.
Six left them eventually to continue his work-outs, content with the way his world had turned out. Unfortunately, not everyone in the Pollination household was as well settled . . . .
BART - You! You sorry excuse for a man! You don't deserve my daughter, let alone those two beautiful girls in that nursery!
SIX - Old man . . . you're still alive right now because you're the parent of my mate and it would upset her should I have a part in your demise. Might I remind you, however, that accidents DO happen . . .
BART - Threaten me all you want to, Six. I stood back when Seven invited you into our home. I held my piece when you practically stalked my daughter, even after threatening to kidnap all of my children and ruin our lives. I even looked the other way when you two jumped each other with her barely out of school. But I will not stand by and watch you hurt her, dammit. Let alone those little girls. I'll kill you with my bare hands first!
SIX - What are you blathering on about, old man?! Cassi is my mate! Those are MY daughters. I would tear this shithole planet down to the foundations before I'd allow them to come to harm.
BART - Can you protect them from yourself?
SIX - What's that supposed to mean?
BART - Couples on this planet are supposed to be married--,
SIX - Ugh, not this 'ceremony' nonsense again.
BART - It's not nonsense! It's the accepted practice on this 'shithole planet,' where you just happen to rest your sorry ass now in case you failed to notice. Declaring yourself Cassi's mate might be enough where you come from, but it doesn't fly here. Having children out of wedlock is seen as very taboo. Cassi's already been ostracized and ridiculed about it, and that's nothing compared to what will happen to Andromeda and Aquila once they're old enough to go to school! So for their sakes you're going to climb off your alien high-horse and propose to my daughter. Or so help me, I will make you disappear Six.
After that Bart stomped off into his and Seven's bedroom. Six wasn't phased much by the old earth sim's threats, though his words did have an effect. He went back into the nursery to give the girls their midnight snuggles and bottles.
SIX - . . . no one will ever hurt you, little one. Not even me. I swear it.
Six wasn't the only one taking care of the babies, of course. Cassiopeia was over the moon with her twins, too. Her life felt more complete now, perfect. Well . . . almost perfect . . . .
The girls had gone down for their naps and she was in the kitchen about to partake in some left-over crepes when Six suddenly approached her, a very determined expression on his face.
She was a little surprised when he suddenly scooped her up in a hug.
SIX - You are the perfect mate, Cassiopeia. My very reason for being.
CASSI - My! Not that I'm complaining, mind you, but where is all this affection coming from?
BART - *muffled from inside the fridge* Stop stalling and spit it out, Casanova.
As soon as Bart got his cookies and got the eff out of the way, Six made his move.
SIX - You asked me before the twins were born if we could indulge your Earth sim custom for mates and I said no.
CASSI - And?
SIX - I have decided this was a mistake. So if you still wish it, I will participate in your 'marriage ceremony.'
CASSI - OH MY CHEEZUS!!!
Six still didn't really understand the need for such nonsense, but seeing the pure joy on his mate's pretty face told him that he'd made the right decision to give in.
BART - Damn straight he did. Now I need to get to the dishwasher, so you two need to move it.
Thanks for ruining the moment, Bart.
BART - Sure, no problem.
Now Cassi's world was perfect.
While this was going on, Seven finally found the babies.
SEVEN - There are two of them? When did that happen?
I'm afraid my adorkable alien might be going a bit senile in his elder years . . .
Which makes this picture all the more potentially dangerous. He reached the top of his career, now a Mad Scientist and able to 'Experiment On' things. He decides his and Bart's bed will be his first test subject.
Hah! I love that face. So awesome. ILU Seven. :D
And that's where I'll leave you for this update! Join us next time for Cassiopeia and Six's wedding celebration, where vows will be said, potty accidents will be had and we'll catch up with our other two Gen 2 members. Until then, happy simming!
