that Pollination : Mission Statement time again! Today we'll open up
with spare babies! Scorpius and Gemini's first born, Arcturus, has
reached his toddler stage. Unfortunately he did so with oogly default
hair. >_< Not acceptable. *cheats it into something else* Since
he's a spare baby, I feel no guilt. XD
Aaaah, much better. Uncle Centarus' (random!) blue skin, grandpa Six's red eyes and (now) great-grandpa Seven's tri-colored hair. Quite the cutie, if I do say so myself.
And lookit! Pointed ears! A good omen for our future heirs, I hope. :D
Back on the legacy lot, Bellatrix is sitting down to a nice hearty breakfast with her mama, Cassiopeia.
BELLATRIX - Mama, I couldn't help but notice that you have the Stir Crazy moodlet right now.
CASSI - Unfortunately. What about it?
BELLATRIX - Well I also have a sore back and a burning desire to be pampered. What do you say we spend some of the ridiculous amount of simoleons in the bank on some Spa treatments?
CASSI - Sounds like a plan to me. :)

And so the ladies of the house took the Mercedes out for a girls-day on the town.
With 150k-ish simoleons in the family funds, 18k splurge on 2 Soothing Salvation packages was nothing.
Back home, Centarus completes his Happy Watermelon painting. :) It sold decently, and I'm pretty sure it netted him a promotion in the process, so yay.
I sometimes forget that Bellatrix has the clumsy trait, until she almost trips--like so. About to start on a 'Practice Speech' session and she almost fell on her face. Whoops!
But first!
BELLATRIX - *pop* Yay, babies.
Proud grandma Cassi corners the scardy-cat maid and starts showing off her grandchildren. Well, in this case grandchild, since Arcturus is the only one so far.
SC Maid - I wonder if I remembered to brush my teeth this morning?
Since she's now on maternity leave, Bellatrix has to rely on phone calls to keep her relationships up with her co-workers. All two of them. -_- She's only at level 2 in Acting right now, too. *sad face*
Centarus produced this awesome painting next. I need to sell it, but it's another one that reminds me of Bellatrix so I kept it instead. Onto the bedroom wall you go!
Bellatrix is quite taken with her pregnant state. I always find the self-tummy-rub to be quite adorable. :D
There goes Six, off to work as the Emperor of Evil . . . apparently he wears a wig while on the job. Not much of a disguise . . . ?
SIX - It's the superman principle.
Centarus and Bellatrix make sure to spend some time with each other throughout their busy days. Gotta keep the relationship fresh. ^_^
Centarus is also quite excited to become a daddy.
They both still roll wants to 'have fun' all the time, too. They picked the location, too. I just told them to woo-hoo, not where to go. ^_~
In the rest of her spare time, Bellatrix gets parked in front of the TV watching the kids channel, while the kids music station blares from the stereo. Why, you ask? Well Bells is already half-way through her young adult stage and barely scratched the surface of her career progression. She'll never progress if she's constantly on maternity leave, so I've decided this will be her only pregnancy. As such, I'd prefer to get more bang for my buck, and for you readers to still have an heir-poll at the end of this generation.
Elsewhere in the house, Six starts a fire in the hobby room and pokes at it for a bit. He's maxed on athletic and logic, the two skills he needs for his job, so when he's not at work he's at somewhat of a loss as to what to do with his spare time of late.
SIX - Aaaah. Nothing like a toasty-warm butt.

Meanwhile . . .
BELLATRIX - Owwwwww! Ow ow ow ow ow! I changed my mind, I don't want babies anymore!
Too late for that, sweetheart.
Centarus accompanies Bells to the hospital. She drove them, and wasted no time getting inside, leaving Centarus to play catch up. Pretty eager to get those drugs, no doubt.
RANDOM GUY - Ooo, hey, Centarus Pollination! *click*
Centarus is only a one-star-celebrity, by virtue of being married to Bellatrix who is a three-star celebrity. And the random guy gave no reaction whatsoever when she passed him. Didn't even do the 'in-labor' freak out. Weird.
After a few sim hours, Bellatrix exits the hospital with a blue-skinned baby boy!
BELLATRIX - Why didn't he want to take my picture? D:
New baby, Bells. Focus please. -_-
This here is Castor Pollination. He's a neurotic couch potato who enjoys classical music, tofu cheesesteak and the color lime green.
And then!! Twins!!!! And BOY twins! I am excite.
This is Castor's twin brother, Pollux. A GREEN baby boy. I couldn't have planned this better if I tried. Pollux is a slobby genius who likes country music, spaghetti and the color seafoam.
As you may or may not have surmised, Castor and Pollux are named after the twin constellation of Gemini. ^_^
While Bellatrix and Centarus were on their way home with the babies, ghost Bart makes an appearance. He spent all of his time on the treadmill, workin up an ectoplasmic sweat. XD
The twins arrive home safe and sound. Some obligatory cuddles and snuggles from the new parents before they're put down in their cribs.
Baby care is a whole-family effort. It pretty much falls to whomever is awake and not busy to help out with their needs. Thanks to his nocturnal schedule, Granpa Six usually pulls overnight duty.
CASSI - We're back to the kitchen slave routine again? Not amused.
Oh shush. You roll wishes to prepare meals all the time, you're not fooling me, missy.
The next day Bellatrix got an opportunity to work out for four hours and gain some celebrity status. While she does have the athletic trait, she's only ever gotten one skill point in it. So working out on the chin-up bar was quite an amusing endeavor to watch.
BELLATRIX - What gives?! Daddy makes this look so easy . . . .
Note that the fireplace is STILL going. Never got put out. Thank goodness for the Fireproof Homestead LTH reward . . . .
Refusing to be daunted, Bellatrix keeps at the chin-up bar until she gets a little better at it, and eventually meets the requirements of the opportunity.
SIX - Hey, Steve. It's Six. Listen, my daughter just gave birth to her offspring and I'm not getting any younger. I've decided to leave the orginization. Feel free to run things however you want, I'm out of the game.
Six rolled the wish to retire. Since I need all the help I can get with the twins, I indulged him. It's not like I really need the money with this family, anyway. The Pollinations are a money-making machine.
SIX - First birthday sparkles, now rainbow confetti? Have you no respect for my evilness, woman?!
Not my fault. *snicker*
SIX - I'm retired now. Yay! *clap clap clap*
LOL, so cute.
Bellatrix and Centarus made their way into Six's room to help celebrate his retirement, too.
CENTARUS - Congrats! *throws confetti*

Cassi had her own way of congratulating Six's well-deserved retirement. ^_~

Despite her diva-ness, Bellatrix is a very attentive mommy. She rolls wishes for the twins all the time. Centarus . . . not so much, lol. He's been pretty busy with his painting though, so I forgive him.
BELLATRIX - At least one of us does . . . .

Later that night, tragedy struck. Orion, the first-born of generation 2 passed away. D: Bellatrix and Cassiopeia were immediately heartbroken. Centarus and Six couldn't care less, lol.
BELLATRIX - Oh, uncle Orion! I will miss you so!
BELLATRIX - Whelp, enough of that nonsense! Moodlet Manager FTW.
Then she went into the Hobby room to cure her mom as well. While I'm glad they won't have to deal with the 2-day mourning moodlet, it does sorta feel like we're cheapening his death somehow . . .
BELLATRIX - Nonsense! Uncle Orion would have wanted it this way! *zaps*
In other news, lookie what I got! The Multitab 6000! I wanted one of these as soon as I saw it released. Unfortunately I'm one of the unlucky ones that can't get the tabcasts to work. She can buy/read books and play games on it still, though. Hopefully there'll be a patch-fix eventually, since the tabcasts are kind've the best feature . . . :(
